The Manufacturer of the Year Awards, the Arizona Manufacturers Council’s (AMC) signature event, is a statewide competition open to all Arizona manufacturers. The event serves to bring attention to Arizona’s manufacturing community and the contributions its members make to the state both economically and socially.
At our awards banquet on Friday, May 29th, 2009, the Arizona Manufacturers Council honored PING as Manufacturer of the Year and Universal Avionics as Outstanding Small Manufacturer.
The event drew over 170 attendees and featured keynote speaker U.S. Representative Trent Franks (CD-2). Congressman Franks discussed the importance of low taxes and free enterprise to the U.S. economy. Guests were also treated to video presentations of our award winners. John K. Solheim, Vice President of Engineering, accepted the Manufacturer of the Year Award on behalf of PING. Steve Pagnucco, General Manager - Manufacturing Division, accepted the Oustanding Small Manufacturer Award on behalf of Universal Avionics. The Arizona Manufacturers Council also recognized Sen. Chuck Gray and Rep. Michelle Reagan for their efforts to make Arizona a friendly place for manufacturing.
Congratulations to all of our winners and we look forward to seeing you all again next year!
